Road cycling in the Slovenian Alps

Slovenia's mountain roads, planned by a local. A different loop every day, a coffee stop worth the climb, and nothing to plan except who buys the first round.

Seven routes that fit your legs

No fixed itinerary. Ride the seven routes in any order and adapt each one to how your crew feels that morning.

A main route for the whole crew

Every route has a main loop from Kranj that the group rides together. Decide in the morning, once you know how the legs feel, who adds more.

Extensions when you want more

Optional extra climbs and loops for riders who still have something left. Skip them and the rest of the day stays the same.

Regroup points

Marked spots where a split group meets up again, so fast and steady riders still share the day and the coffee.

Your base

Why Kranj is the perfect starting point

Most of the best roads in the Slovenian Alps are within riding distance of Kranj. Base yourself there and the mountains come to you.

Strategic position
Kranj sits just below most of Karavanke & Kamnik-Savinja Alps with the Ljubljana valley to the south-east which opens up flat routes.
The roads are getting better
Šenčur (5 minutes from Kranj) just hosted the cycling European championship, so a big portion of the roads around Kranj have just been repaved.
It's small, but kinda big
Kranj is the 4th largest city in Slovenia, but for other countries, it's barely a town. So it has a lot of small-town features, but still offers all amenities of the big cities.
Medieval city
Get the old European city vibes with a vibrant city center.

Questions

How do I get the files?

Right after checkout you get an email with a secure download link for the road book PDF and the GPX files. No account and no app needed.

Is it right for our level?

If you ride regularly, yes. Each of the seven routes has a main loop plus optional extensions, so you decide each morning how hard the day is.

Can I share it with my group?

Yes. One purchase covers your whole crew. Send the road book and GPX files to everyone riding.

What do I need to ride the routes?

A GPS bike computer such as a Garmin or Wahoo, or a navigation app on your phone. Anything that loads a GPX file works.

Do you book hotels?

No. The pack is a riding plan. We recommend places to stay in Kranj and you book directly with them.

Can I get a refund?

The pack is a digital download delivered instantly, so all sales are final. Try the free route preview first if you want to see the quality.

Can you plan a custom trip for my group?

Yes. Bor and his sister, a professional concierge, plan your whole trip and recommend everything; you book it yourself. Book a short call and tell them what you have in mind. If you've already bought the pack, the price counts toward a custom trip.

Want it built around your crew?

Different dates, different legs, a bigger plan? My sister, a professional concierge, and I will plan your whole trip and recommend everything. You book it yourself. Book a short call and tell us what you're after. Already bought the pack? The price counts toward it.
